Great Hot Dog at Saratoga Hot Dog Company - Saratoga Springs
Sometimes our town of Saratoga Springs can have a little more attitude than necessary.
It is so nice to find a place that is so modest and great right here in Saratoga proper.
The Saratoga Hot Dog Company consists of a wood burning grill, a small trailer and a tent and what they do with it is magic.
The hot dogs, hamburgers, Kielbasi and other sausages that come off this wood stoked grill are second to none and the price can’t be beat!
When you see a roofer eating next to a surgeon you know you have found a great place to eat.
Run by a mother and daughter team the service is very friendly and the line that quickly forms at lunch time moves along quickly.
Saratoga Hot dog Company is located behind the brewery across from the hardware store and EBI Beverage Center ( both also worth visiting ) at 112 Excelsior Ave

Last night the governor signed into law the right for gays to marry and as a guy who loves the United States Constitution and all of the freedoms this country stands for I couldn’t be happier.
If you are part of the LGBT community and need a wedding photographer my wife and I are more than game.
If you want to write some stupid crap about hell, your intolerant beliefs or anything hateful don’t bother as I’m not going to print it.

Thanks to Jim Romano for letting me and my girlfriend in for free as we had spent all our money to buy a sandwich.
Anyone know who took this photo? I think it might have been the guy from Buzz Magazine?

Daurizios FatBoy Challenge – Rotterdam NY
Coming from Utica NY I take my pizza very seriously and my prefered pizza comes from Daurizios Pizza in Rotterdamn NY.
Daurizios Pizza is the home of the Fatboy Challenge; a giant feast that has yet to be successfully consumed.
Not even the prize of $500 has been enough motivation to get a team of two to finish this mountain of Daurizios Pizza’s wings and giant pizza.
Not even Pros Joel “The Cannon” Podelsky & “Munchin” Mike Longo could eat their way to the prize!
Be sure to check out the Durizios Pizza website; it’s pretty fun and you can sign up for weekly coupons that are beyond generous.
If you can make it to the restaurant itself the giant boneless wings and the stromboli are my favorites but EVERYTHING is great.

Engagement Photo – Mansion Inn Wedding

I just thought I’d post this cute couple who’s wedding we will be shooting this fall at the Mansion Inn in Rock City Falls just outside of Saratoga Springs NY.
Doing engagement photos is always fun as there is no pressure and I get an opportunity to know my clients before the day of their wedding.

The Mansion Inn is a beautiful location and great for weddings; it’s got that “Saratoga Springs” look that so many brides want. The fact that The Mansion Inn is in the Register of Historic Places Speaks to how cool of a location it is!
NBHA and HS Rodeo – Double M Western
Day two of Double M Westerns‘ tent sale was awesome with both NBHA barrel races and more HS Rodeo.
I spent the day meeting folks and eying myself a new cowboy hat. The selection at Double M is pretty cool and according to two oil workers who hailed from East Texas it’s one of the only Western stores in an enormous area as they had traveled from Pennsylvania!
The NBHA races were fantastic. Those riders have guts and style. To top it off they are all as nice as they are good looking!
Before the rain really started coming down I got a small taste of the High School kids doing rodeo; as you can see below kids still have no fear.
Typical of Upstate New York it was freezing cold and I dressed to light.
Luckily North Country BBQ ( 518-428-6447 ) was there with the best beef brisket I have ever had!!!
Dave Borst should be proud of that BBQ; even my Texas wife said it was the best she’d had. Well when you are bested like that you just have to try harder so I’ll be back to my smoker trying to live up to Dave’s beef.
Dave will be there selling his wares all summer when the rodeo is on so be sure to try it; it’s worth the trip alone.

DOUBLE M WESTERN – HIGH SCHOOL RODEO
Double M Western ( Malta, NY ) kicked off their tent sale with an awesome high school rodeo on Friday night. The students put on quite a show with a number of events featuring a lot of bravery, skill and horsemanship. It’s hard to imagine it took me all of these years to go to a rodeo but now that I have I am sold!
Thanks Double M! You make upstate New York a great place to live.

Barrel Raceing and Rodeo at Double M Western – May 14th and 15th 2011
The folks at Double M Western on Rt. 67 in Ballston Spa are having a big tent sale and rodeo this weekend May 14-15th 9Am to 2Pm Saturday and 11Am to 2Pm Sunday.
I’ll be there photographing the action. If you haven’t been to one of these events you don’t know what you are missing!
